Is the Bold template ATS-friendly?

Bold uses two columns: skills, languages, certifications, awards and interests sit in the side column, the rest in the main column. People read it easily, but some applicant tracking systems mix up two-column text. Use it when you email a recruiter or hand your resume over in person, and switch to a one-column design such as Classic or Modern for job portals. Your content carries over when you switch.

Tip: Experience and education run on a timeline, while skills, languages, certifications, awards and interests move to the tinted side panel.

How to use the Bold template

  1. Choose “Use this template” to open the builder with Bold selected, or start with example content to see it filled in first.
  2. Fill in your details section by section. Already have a resume? Import the PDF or DOCX on the resume builder page, then pick Bold under Design.
  3. Change the accent colour, pick from 14 fonts, adjust text size, spacing and paper size, and reorder, hide or rename sections.
  4. Download your resume as a PDF with selectable text and no watermark.
